Why we are here

Truth. It is all that matters. To believe anything short of truth is simply wishful thinking. And yet, knowing what is true is not as easy as it seems.

In the modern world, there is a kind of groupthink where the modern culture feels so enlightened with claims that modern science has negated any need for religion.

Going all the way back to the philosopher Friedrich Nietzshe's claim that "God is dead" to Voltair's claim that the Bible would no longer be read in 100 years, we see that the reality of modernity has fallen far short of its lofty claims.

One has simply to look at the state of the world with raging wars, environmental disasters, social and political chaos, the systemic decline of the family unit and the sense of drift felt among the vast majority of today's young people to see that something is rotten at the foundation of the modern world.

At reflecting on truth, we believe in the value of science and embrace the many wonders that it has birthed. However, we choose to see them in the light of the fact that it is a rational God, a divine mind, who created the cosmos with operating laws that makes science possible. Therefore, we believe that all knowledge can only find its fullest fulfillment in correctly understanding its relationship to the diving person of God as revealed in the person of Jesus Christ and in His word.

To furthering people's understanding of these important truths is the purpose for Reflecting On Truth.
